We are living in very uncertain times and there is no question that the COVID-19 crisis is much larger than we all anticipated. With that said, it also seems to bring an opportunity for people to reach a large number of potential buyers. This is happening due to the lockdown and how many people are now using the internet as their only means of communication with the outside world.

Today, I want to talk about some creative ways that will help you engage your target audience by using Facebook Messenger.

1-Start conversations with people who sign up for your events
Some people may sing up to an event you schedule without ever contacting you, but this is the perfect time to reach back to them and establish a good connection. You could reach out to them and ask if they have any questions about the event. Anything to break the ice is going to be a good idea at this point.
You always want to look for ways to strengthen the connection between you and your potential clients or customers.

2-Always give the option for people to “send message” when they see a news feed post on your page
This is very important because it allows the person to gain access to the messenger button with ease. Sometimes people don’t send messages after reading posts because they don’t find a convenient way to do it. By having the button conveniently placed in the feed for each post, this is going to encourage more messages to be sent by people who show interest in what you are publishing. Make sure that this feature is turned on at all times and it will help you see more engagement from many of your posts.

3-Always send follow-up messages
When someone reaches you on Facebook, you need to make the most out of this initial interaction and send follow-up messages that are ideal according to their inquiry.  This is not only good for the purpose of ensuring that you can make the most out of that particular content, but it also gives you the opportunity to offer something new someone who is already showing interest.

Final thoughts
The coronavirus is making us change the way we interact with each other but online interactions seem to be more active than ever before and this bring us an opportunity to upgrade our business.
