People need to take into consideration that there are literally millions of photos and messages being uploaded to Facebook each week and it can be extremely hard to take care of everything that is happening within the network.
The governments of many countries have always requested for certain information to be provided to them and at least 79% of the time, Facebook has provided that information when it has been requested. The United States of America are without a doubt the country that has requested the largest amount of information so far. With plenty of request being made in order to preserve homeland security.
The freedom of speech and the protection from terrorism are always in a battle that compromises the privacy of a lot of people who are not involved in any criminal activities, but anyone who uses Facebook should be aware of the fact that their information could be sent to any government for any number of reasons.
