There is no way to deny that Facebook marketing is one of the most powerful methods to get people to find out about your business. Some marketers have actually started to get the impression that Facebook marketing might be dead, but this could not be further from the truth. Some facts of this not being accurate are that Facebook has over 1.38 billion users who are active on the network. Half of those users are login into Facebook at least once a day. There are 5 new profiles being created every second and 1 billion searches are made every day.
This should be more than enough proof to convince anyone that Facebook is a very powerful and extremely important marketing tool. There is something vital that needs to be considered and that is the fact that the more popular Facebook becomes, the harder it is for anyone to be able to build a loyal following. The reason for this is that you have a lot more people competing against you to get the attention of a little bit of that large amount of traffic. Here are some things you should do ad some you should never do.
Things to do:
Be original
If you create original content, you will be taking a very important step towards success with internet marketing, but if you only post content that has been published by other sources, you will never gain credibility as a good source for news or useful information.
Always answer questions
You can’t expect to build a loyal following if you are ignoring your audience when thy ask something or complain about something. Even if you don’t like to hear criticism, you need to earn to deal with it and always answer people that send you messages. It doesn’t matter if they are public or private. Always answer your customers if they reach out to you.
Be consistent
You need to be able to be extremely consistent with your Facebook campaigns and this means posting new content as often as possible. This is a great way to build trust and to let people know that your page is serious.
Quality over quantity
You might think that consistency is the priority, but quality is always above that. If you don’t have great quality content to post, then don’t even post at all.
Things you should never do:
Never spam your page
If you try to start spamming people with the same post over 3 times per day, you will not be getting the best results from doing this. Spam is going to get you rejected by people 99.9% of the time.
Likes don’t mean a thing
You might have a huge page that has 80k fans, but this numbers mean nothing if you only have 1% of those people posting on your page. There could be a page that has 10k fans, but 90% of them are posting and this would be much better. It’s really all about the interaction that you have on your page.
Don’t get personal
Never involve your personal feelings and opinion into your business page posts. This is going to prove to be the downfall for your credibility on Facebook. If you want to give your personal opinion successfully, you need to come up with business page that is aimed towards selling you as a great speaker.
Keep these things in mind every single day that you work on your Facebook campaign and you will be able to get great results in a short amount of time.
