There is no question that a large number of social media users are constantly missing out on the updates that are being posted by people they know. We have all heard a friend or relative ask us if we saw the latest post that they made and we often fail to see everything that happens in our feed because we have a large number of friends and also pages that we have liked.
The average social media user has at least 3 to 4 hundred friends and they have at least 50 to 100 pages that they have liked and currently follow. The problem with this is that you can’t get all of that information on your feed at once and social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter will prioritize the feeds from people that you usually talk to.
There are some things that you can do in order to make this process easier for yourself and that is going to be the most important thing for you to use when you need to prioritize feeds from specific people and business pages. This is going to allow you to make sure that certain posts are going to show up on your feed when they are published.
If you want to get this to work with Facebook is to add any person to your close friends list and you will be able to see their posts when you click on “see first”. This is going to give a priority to those posts and you won’t miss them even if you have other posts you want to prioritize.
With Twitter, you can get things done differently by going to the profile of the Twitter user you want to see on your feed. Click on the gear icon that is to the left of the following button and then make sure that you can get mobile notifications. This is going to prioritize their posts for you.
This is even easier with Instagram because all you have to do is go into the desired profile and tap the 3 dot icon on the right corner at the top.
Other networks
There are other popular networks like LinkedIn that have a different way to allow for priorities, but they don’t function in the same way as those in networks such as Facebook and Twitter. Just make sure that you always stay on top of any changes that are taking place with any social networks in regards to prioritizing posts on your feed.
